appin

a few hours north of edinburgh, appin is a seaside country village with rolling hills, dramatic mountain scenery, and approximately 2 restaurants. we stayed in a sheep farm here and made day-excursions for hiking and to oban for a distillery tour. i took advantage of the sustrans cycle track for runs and walks. many a heeland coo are ready to be seen, as well. visit castle stalker (above) and glencoe as extra special treats.

go to the old inn for sticky toffee pudding in the evening, and the adjoining cafe for a coffee in the mornings!
